It's actually the visual mixer I liked the look of (and is free to keep once the Neutron trial ends), so if I could get it working and try it out, that'd be brilliant.In this video, we teach you how to use Ozone 8. I can't even close MB, I have to go to Task Mgr and close it down that way.Īs it stands, sadly it looks like I can't demo this with MB. The Visual Mixer plug itself is responding (icons for different tracks light up when they receive signal) but again, it's not possible to interact via the GUI at all. I get zero graphical response within MB (ie, no response to on-screen buttons etc). The latter also continues to indicate playback - bars/beats, track meters.
Specifically, it's freezing the GUI: audio still runs, and can be started/stopped with the spacebar or via control surface. Now I'm having issues with their Visual Mixer plugin (which is part of the Neutron suite) freezing up MB. (I did email Harrison about the first issue and rather brilliantly Nik got back to me virtually straight away to say he'd look into it.) It was the final step I wasn't doing initially.

Then! Final step - use the 'disable plugin' button in the Relay window (NOT the pin config one), switch it off (this then re-enabled audio) and then switch it back on (this then re-enabled Relay plus audio). (Basically creating an inverted V shape overall, running through the Relay instance)
In the end, I worked that out: I needed to reconfigure the pins on all the mono tracks, so that (1) I took the single pin outputs to both 1 and 2 on the Relay inputs, then (2) hit manually configure and (3) add a second output, running a new 'line' from there onwards. I had an issue getting the 'Relay' plugin to work (this is the one that sits on each track and communicates with what they call the 'mothership' plugin). I've got one resolved issue and one unresolved, so this might either help someone else out, or lead someone to help me! Mainly Neutron 3, which is a suite of related plugs. I'm just trying to demo some Izotope plugins, never having used them before.
